Xiao noted that this work needs to be tracked in the Exes WG.
Can you do so please.

Background to all this is R&D has been requested to provide build process
for C1 exes for porting to Australis.
It seems likely the port to Australis of ACCESS-C will be the APS1 version
first then the APS2 version later.

Wenming will be working to reproduce the build of C1 exes this week.

cheers

Hi Robin and all,

I have checked that

2741. The APS1 City standard experiment in CWSlab provides the cylc suite and
building for UM and RECON binary.
However, the suite is not up-to-date as the operational ones. I did test one
SY run and it worked fine in R1.

2792. There is an access_c suite on ngamai which should be very close to the
operational one. During the transfer, I
produced the SMS suite on ngamai and port to operation as ods and then Joan
grabbed the suite.

2843. There is a UMUI job on ngamai laabc for building C1 and I have at
/g/sc/data/lwenming/legacy/UM_OUTDIR/laabc
all the files for manually build the executable. I also found out a doc for
building C1 which is enclosed in the mail.

If the plan is clear, then I will go ahead with what we need to do to make
sure the C1 will work fine in both R1 and R2.
